History & Locations
Cummings Aerospace is a Native American Woman-Owned Small Business led by its President & CEO, Sheila Cummings, who founded the company in 2009. The company is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with additional facilities in Largo, Florida; Niceville, Florida; and Tucson, Arizona. Our headquarters campus, opened in 2021, is a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified engineering and manufacturing facility, designed to rigorous environmental and energy efficiency standards.
Promoting STEM Education
Innovation requires diverse thinking. Diverse thinking demands people from diverse backgrounds. As a Native American Woman-Owned Small Business, Cummings Aerospace understands the challenges and importance of amplifying diversity in the defense industry. That’s why one of our corporate priorities is development of youth programs and opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields—particularly for underrepresented demographic groups. We sponsor, design, and facilitate STEM summer camps, 3D printing classes for middle schoolers, internships and work study programs, and we pursue grant funding for augmented STEM programs in disadvantaged communities.
